The Confetti Project's
Insecure Series
(August 2019)
In August of 2019, I was lucky enough to be one of the six community members chosen by The Confetti Project to be part of her social awareness campaign known as The Insecure Series.
I got to have a photoshoot with the genius behind The Confetti Project, Jelena Aleksich (who became a dear friend in 2017) and bared my soul in front of & behind the camera. I shared about where my insecurities came from & the breakthroughs they led me to, and I felt proud to speak my truth. Click on the photo (to the left!) to check out the full story & the other incredible New Yorkers who are part of the photo series.

ABC Women's Initiative: Call for Filmmakers
(June 2019)
I was honored to be chosen as a Top 10 Finalist in the ABC Women's Initiative (in partnership with Ideas United) in the spring of 2019. That June, I got to visit the ABC Studios Lot and pitch a commercial idea for one of their live television programs, which gave me the incredible chance to share my writing/directorial ideas with studio executives and flex my creative muscles. Getting to learn from the other nine finalists & be surrounded by powerful women in the film industry was such an amazing experience.

Unwritten: The Series
(In post-Production)
I'm beyond thrilled to announce that I am currently in post-production for my series pilot, Unwritten, which I wrote, acted in, and co-produced. It has always been of utmost importance to me to create a series that not only showed diversity in its leading roles, but to also highlight mental health in a comedic and de-stigmatized way.
Trying to figure things out one day [and recalling of it] at a time, Miya (myself) regales the events of her life while sitting with her therapist which may seem pretty spectacular and out of proportion, but for her, it’s just typical. Like life itself, her story is unwritten; she’s willing to take it a session at a time.

Voiceover in AnimatioN
(Show to Be Announced!)
Recently, I was cast by Jennifer Sukup in a new animated TV series! While I cannot announce the name of the show or the character I am voicing just yet, I am excited for this new adventure. Being an animated voiceover has been my dream since I was young, and I couldn't be more thrilled that it is now my reality. I have recorded all of the episodes with Big Yellow Duck, and I hope to be able to share more soon!

ALMOST
(SERIES PILOT)
Written by Lydia Snapper, this series looks into the complicated lives of Sadie Montgomery (myself), Liam Quinn (Griffin Osborne), Chris Waters (Noah Breymeier), Charlotte Bell (Grace Melville), Evie Forrest (Sami Petrucci), and Emma the mystery girl (Morgan Lennon). Sadie transfers into some unknown drama when she transfers into NYU, and each of them has to learn to maneuver around the newfound issues affecting college, relationships, and identity.
We were fortunate enough to film the pilot this past fall, and hopefully a cut will be released this winter! I'm so grateful to Lydia for letting me experience Sadie's journey, and I'm excited for what the future of this series holds.

Leading Story 2
(FAll 2018)
Building from a previous Stonestreet Studios production, we follow Sage Sandoval (Julia Rehwald) attempting to get her first political story after she & fellow news reporter Vicki Hunt (my character) spot former White House worker Dean Miller (Noah Breymeier) alone at a bar. I was fortunate enough to be invited by Alyssa R. Bennett to be part of this project, and I'm excited to see & share the final cut!

ISO: In Search Of
(Spring 2018)
In the short film ISO: In Search Of, based on writer/director/producer Kate Moran's real-life experience, a woman grapples with her emotions, that've come to life as dancers, when discussing being adopted and her birth mother's search for her. With an all female cast & crew, the emotional journey of Kate's search for home is something I can't wait for all to see and experience!
Free As a Bird
(Summer 2017)
When Izzy (myself) comes home, her roommate Casey (Grace Melville) notices she's acting weirder than usual. What's in the bag that's got Izzy acting so strange?
Both writing and acting in this collaborative project with Grace Melville and director Gary O. Bennett at Stonestreet Studios was so fun! To allow my personality and character weave into such a ridiculously fun narrative was exciting, and I was very proud to work on this project. (Video on "Media" page!)
