About Me
Born and raised in Sacramento, California, I grew up in an artistic and loving home with my mom, dad, older brother and sister, and grandmother. My father immigrated from Hong Kong at the age of 7, and he learned about American culture through film and music, a love which he eventually passed onto me. Additionally, always being the extrovert amongst my siblings, my strong passion and energy was funneled through dance, music, theatre, and film. It led me to performing with River City Theatre Company and in my high school productions at C.K. McClatchy, as well as studying at Studio24 and UCLA's Performing Arts Summer Camp for film & television, and being a production assistant and choreographer for the children's theatre company, Young Actor's Stage Productions.
I was accepted into Tisch School of the Arts at NYU in 2014, and made my move to the East Coast as a drama major with a minor in CAMS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies)! I studied at the Atlantic Acting School for two and a half semesters, but decided to continue my training at Stonestreet Studios, where I finished the last of my time at university working on a couple of pilot productions, fun film shorts, and producing work of my own.
I graduated in May of 2018 having wrote, produced, and acted in my own series pilot, Unwritten (currently in post-production!), along with booking an animated series voiceover (to be announced!), and with a minor in child psychology. Mental health and changing the landscape for actors of color are of top priority for me, and it led me to becoming a Top 10 Finalist in ABC's Women's Initiative: Call for Filmmakers in 2019.
As I make my move to the Los Angeles area this summer, I hope to continue growing my platform as a creative artist to go against the grain and change the industry.
